I am using a short recess to send you these lines. The revision for my exams is going very well. Today, the first half of inorganic chemistry will be read through; tomorrow metals and the day after, organic chemistry. Finally, on Thursday, I intend to hold the last mustering of the troops before I send them into action on Friday. I spoke to Weber the other day and he said he was in the middle of a letter to you; if you have not already done so, you should, before you leave Fyen send Moster Emma |a little greeting on a card. I think she was a little sad that I did not write to her and would be glad to receive a card from you. We are all very much looking forward to seeing you again. – On Saturday, if all goes well, we will be holding a little party here with roughly the following:
The Aunts Emma (with husband), Hanne, Elise (with husband), Adda and Anton Rigmor, P.M. and (maybe) David Lily, Frk Lund, Weber Nørlund Edgar Ole Lautrup Mølgaard. – It would please Mr (by then) Magister Bohr if Mr Niels Bohr would do him the honour of attending that very same Saturday evening. Don’t RSVP as a cancellation will not be tolerated. Mor and I take short walks every day. Far is busy writing a tiny little thesis which, I think, he is looking forward to you reading through for him.
As you can see, the soon to be Magister is very well and his spirits are high.
Yesterday we spent a while at the football game between
Dad says that we’re always playing patience |morning, noon and night. Ole stayed last Friday and dined in the evening with Prf Christiansen and Høfding, he wanted to visit you and Harald. We’re looking forward to seeing you my dear boy, we will, I presume, hear a word or two about when you’re coming, presumably Thursday evening, but we’ll hear about that. Have a nice time. Dad sends his love.
