Dear Niels!

Today, we have the loveliest sunshine and I’m looking forward to going for a really long walk to see how the area looks in new clothes. It is nice that you have had time to go skiing a bit. – I am now finished with reading up on kinematics which has taken me longer than I reckoned with; I think however, that I have begun to penetrate the mysteries of this discipline; though I look forward soon to hearing my clever brother’s comments about this and that. Other than that, there is not much to tell, one day passes much like another with walks, study and smoking my Nyborgers which the innkeeper has shamefully cheated me for. – I will, once again, repeat that you will find it congenial over here in all aspects; every day I am so glad at the thought of how well life here can prepare you for the exam in peace and comfort going for long walks in the beautiful, and probably in springtime, enchanting surroundings. Now farewell 'til we meet again in a couple of days (and by the way, hopefully significantly longer) and greetings to all

With love from
Harald. |
