Dear Niels!

My second assignment was so easy that I’m almost embarrassed to relate the formulation. Oh well here goes. It (there was only one) was to relate the theory of the radius of the circular curvature of a space curve and to employ that theory on what was essentially only a “camouflaged” helix. I laid it on thick with everything Jordan has taught me and filled a small pad with stuff and nonsense. I have a whimsical, somewhat drunken graduate looking after me. We smoke some cigars together and philosophise about the world. As we must be inseparable during those 4 hours I must for example follow him when he goes down to spend a penny, and wait, so that those who do not know must think that I am the supervisor, he the examinee. I have physics on Thursday.

1000 greetings
H.

My oral exam is on either Thursday, Friday or Saturday. I will write again when I have received notice.
